FC Barcelona to Host First Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

The club confirmed they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in domestic competition two and a half years after they moved out so building work could begin.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside under the licence granted. When completed, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. The club said finished work included an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Recent Activities

The club conducted a public practice at the Camp Nou in early November. They mentioned they were hoping for permission from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture facing Eintracht on 9 December in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
