On Monday, the court learned communication data and data retrieved from phones recorded Ms Wandelt consistently asking Madeleine's mother for a genetic test during that period.

Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - when she was three years old during a vacation in Portugal - is considered the most covered investigations and continues to be open.

'I Do Not Need Money'

Another phone message, played in court, recorded Ms Wandelt stating: "I know I'm heavy and not pretty like Madeleine was, but I believe what I know."

While a separate message of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's recording said: "What if there is a tiny probability that I am she? Then what? Is that not important for you?"

"I don't want money, I have a living here in Poland, I simply desire to discover," she added.

The jury was advised that through emails, mobile messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt requested a genetic test, forwarded youth pictures to her phone in a bid to display a likeness to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and stated to have "flashbacks" from a early life with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, an intelligence analyst with law enforcement who gathered the evidence, informed the court there "seemed to lack any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also contacted close associates of the McCanns, as per the communication logs.

On October 9th, 2024, the father picked up a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, declaring she had "incorrect contact information."

That day Ms Wandelt recorded a recording on Mrs McCann's voicemail saying "I will continue and I intend to demonstrate my claim."

The court learned Mrs Spragg struck up a relationship through digital means with Ms Wandelt before assisting her on a visit to the McCanns' residence in Leicestershire in that winter.

Phone records demonstrated Mrs Spragg had contacted through communication app to Mrs McCann to say the news outlets had depicted Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she deserved to be treated respectfully in the months before the visit to Rothley, Leicestershire, in that winter.

The court learned correspondence between the two individuals, in November 2024, planning trying to get Mrs McCann's genetic material from her trash or from silverware at a eating establishment.

"We have to make a stand," Mrs Spragg informed Ms Wandelt.

On the occasion of the visit to their residence, the defendant dispatched a text which stated: "We find ourselves sat outside the McCanns' home with our vehicle dark similar to private investigators. I desired to do this with Peter Andrew I hadn't anticipated I would be involved in this with the McCanns."

The proceedings continues.
